Once you are certain that your team is inspired by, understands and is passionate about the common vision, it is time to assess the diversity of skills available within the team. I got this concept really wrong in my early years of leadership. I thought I would be successful, if I could surround myself and fill all my teams with people just like me. That oversight on my part cost me dearly and it took a number of years to see that my progress was being hampered by this naïve approach to business.
•If your team is aligned behind you as their leader, but they do not buy into the vision for the team, you can either look at communicating the vision differently so that they see it from your perspective or you need to revise the vision.
•If you are leading the wrong team or a team filled with the wrong people, you must take action immediately to remedy this. Invest time to discover all the skills necessary for your team to achieve the vision you have for the team. Record these and then compare them to the actual list of skills available within your team. If there are functions or tasks, which are necessary to achieve your vision, but no one in your team is able to fulfil those functions or tasks. The big hurdle to cross is that thinking this takes work. It’s hard to focus on what you want, when what you want is nowhere in sight. But, learning to do so is the key to moving beyond what you have and into having what you want. Here’s the reality…people believe that what they have is just the way it is. This is your life IF you settle for it. Let’s look at Brian again. He has some choices to make.
Basic rule of thumb: if you want more money,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then you have to start thinking of more money. If you want deeper relationships, you have to start thinking about deeper relationships.
Life is about setting our minds on the good we want, regardless of what we have. Anyone can change their life starting today. If you don’t want poverty,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], don’t keep thinking about it. If you don’t want bad relationships,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], stop thinking about them. Set your mind on higher things. The things you want. Focus your thought energy on what you want to bring into your life and the Universe will respond. Remember that the Laws of the Universe are stationary and don’t change. They cannot change. So if you do your part,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they will fall into place. What is “your part”? Start to take control of your thoughts and build your life and stop letting your life create your thoughts!

He can start saying to himself, ”I pay my bills with ease and I have no debt.” He can commit to this statement and say it to himself over and over again until his mind believes it. The Universe responds with either a raise, a better job offer or maybe additional side job. He puts that extra money towards his debt, knowing it will be paid off. In eight months, he’s at half of the debt he used to have. His mindset is no longer one of “I have to settle and deal with this.” His mindset is “I pay my bills with ease and I have no debt.” This could open the door to better money making opportunities, with extra money to be put towards debt. Soon he is where his mental state is: paying his bills with ease and has no debt.
So how important are thoughts to getting what you want? This is a simple question. Thoughts are the key to getting what you want. How do you think on a daily basis? What are your thoughts focused on most of your day? If a problem comes up,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], how do you figure out what to do? These questions are all telling of where your thought process is and what results you are going to get. Let’s look at an example:
Brian is in debt. He has $10,000 in credit card debt, a car loan, and a mortgage. He makes a moderate salary working a job that he’s moderately satisfied with. Most of his thoughts are on his situation. Because he puts his energy into what he has, he gets more of the same. 2. Begin a writing journal. Get your child a notebook and have your child begin to write on what they are interested in. They can go outside and write about what they observe in nature. They can write about your family vacation or write a letter to a friend. Have them write about how they are feeling,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or about the weather. They can even help you write the grocery list each week. If your child is just starting out with writing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he/she can make pictures instead and label them. Strong writers will often make strong readers and vice-versa and it is a great way to maintain their current skills (and even strengthen them) for the next school year.
3. Take pictures! If you don’t want your child to use your digital camera,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], get them a disposable one. Have them take photos of their friends/family and summer events. After you develop the pictures, your child can then create a timeline of their summer. Or they can choose a few pictures and write a story about them. You can also put them in an album for your child and have them create fun captions for them.

Children always don’t get to read what they want to in school. Now is the chance for your child to check out books that interest him/her the most. Most local libraries have a summer reading club. It is a great way to discover new books, engage in creative activities,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and maybe even meet new friends. Or they can reread the books they already have. It is a great way to build fluency and review vocabulary skills.

I also know how important it is to be able to find fun but educational things for your children to do in order to help them maintain their reading and writing skills. 2. Next, managers need to understand the change experience through the lens of their employees. Employees will be more open and willing to support change when they are given information that clearly addresses their fundamental questions. Honest, open, timely and truthful communication is absolutely essential during a transition. A preponderance of managers and supervisors are overly familiar with long sighs and disheartened groans from their employees when they introduce yet another organizational change or a new initiative. And in the aftershock of a devastating recession, the sighs and groans are turning into fear.
* What is the change? (Get specific)
* How was the decision made? (Include who made the decision)
* Who does it impact, and what does it mean to them?
* What is the value of the change to the organization and the employees? (Focus on benefits and effects.)
* What are the next steps,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]? (Describe the roles and actions.)

Keeping employees well-informed and engaging them will foster a climate of resiliency and it will build momentum that will advance your organization.
